Wandered the souks this afternoon and saw loads of pretty things...let me take you on my Moroccan Shopping Spree in 2019

My beautiful Polly never came back and I miss her everyday. I can’t stop myself looking for her as I cross the courtyard or enter my building as she always knew the sound of my keys and came running .Its really quite soulless living alone with no pet. I can’t bring myself to replace her just yet....I still dream that the person who stole her will bring her back to me, her mother...the mother she adopted .

Autumnal Colour

Mention fall foliage and people wax lyrical about British Columbia , Berkshire, Vermont and The Catskills but the words Atlas Mountains don’t fall from their lips. Big mistake I feel. Autumn is out in full force in these mountains just now, enhanced by early snow on the high peaks. Unmissable !

Rocky Spot

Picking a lunch spot...many of us look for a green grassy verge or a shady spot under a leafy tree but others look for something completely different !

Picnic Heaven

Yesterday I had a #bestever day...a Berber picnic in the Atlas Mountains with @authentictoubkallodge and @morocco_bespoke so if you want nature and mountains and a gourmet picnic then I can arrange it all for you so just say the word for truly an experience of a lifetime !

Have you been to Girona ?

It’s actually a fabulous small city or very big walkable town to visit in Spain....a perfect day trip by high speed train from Barcelona in fact. It has several claims to fame including being a major location for the filming of A Game of Thrones. Also there are eleven bridges crossing the various four rivers running in and around Girona, one of which was designed by Gustave Eiffel and is known as the Eiffel Bridge. The Costa Brava Coast is not far off and neither is the Dali museum, which is 42 minutes by car down the road...or take the bus or train ! So, here is an all rounder type of place to visit if you are a Spain lover like me !

To Bike or not to Bike

Having recently done a 300 km cycle trip, I feel a bit motivated to do more biking . But I look out my window here in Marrakech and immediately know the answer is a big fat NO to me riding in this city. That just means more two wheeler trips in Europe !

Expo Essaouira

Expo...well, the definition is a large exhibition but this is clearly a variation on a theme haha... so Morocco !!! 
There are lots of small exhibitions in Essaouira...it’s worth at least a daytrip but I suggest longer !!
