Tea and tagine at 2100 meters above sea level...a delicious picnic awaits....come with me, see the Atlas Mountains, hike and eat....it will be the most memorable day trip imaginable ...just send me a message !
A late afternoon walk along the pier in Essaouira....windy, drizzly and noisy with the huge waves and screeching gulls...very bracing but also a little damp
Snow then sunshine means the waterfalls in the Atlas are crashing and gushing water like crazy and are so fabulous to see in full flow. You can literally soak up the moment by having a drink right by the water with a gentle droplet spray enhancing the experience.
You know you will be well looked after when your walking guide greets you all with sunhats and walking poles at the start of the hike. I had not used an ’alpenstock’ before but it was great on rocky paths...maybe I need to invest !
In Morocco we are still on what I call Summertime Daylight Saving time. A decision was made by the powers that be not to turn back the clocks when summer ended. Chaos ensued as all devices changed time but real life stood still and only reading a wrist watch could give the accurate and exact time. I am unsure how many people even own a watch these days...bar old fashioned me ! But regardless, the sun still sets and rises over Marrakech in all its golden glory.
