Multiple Mosques

Morocco has over 41, 755 mosques...that’s a figure from 2016, so many more will have been built since them. There are close to 200 alone in the ancient medina of Fes , a city of literally thousands of winding narrow alleyways. I love Islamic architecture for its colours and dazzling mosaics, honeycombed muquarnas and elegant archways. And in Fes, like every city in Morocco, these are laid on, round every corner and in every niche.
