Barrowloads of twisty neutral coloured yarn get delivered every day into the Marrakech medina. The artisans then get busy dyeing it into a myriad of colours. Often you see the newly coloured wool hanging from rooves and fences drying in the hot sun. Once dry, weavers and craftspeople work their magic and create genuine made in Morocco souvenirs. Woolly pom poms are flavour of the month (or year) and decorate purses, scarves, shawls, clothing and everything in between.
