Taking a tuk tuk in traffic is hair-raising as we all know but these auto rickshaws have been around for a long time sputtering and stalling and spewing smoke and fumes. They remind me of a mobile egg beater, so not exactly built for comfort. They usually have a meter but plan on it not working or so the driver will tell you, the poor unsuspecting passenger, who is about to take their life in their hands while jammed unceremoniously into a tiny back seat, pouring sweat from humidity and fear. I suggest you close your eyes for the duration of the trip.
