Indian women really treasure their long and lovely tresses and I am unsure of the reason for this tradition, it maybe religious . For the most part the beautiful Indian women all had flowing locks or thick, lengthy plaits, usually decorated with flowers. Not many women have contemporary short haircuts. The hours spent in haircare must be time consuming but well worth it. I truly admire them for their patience. Thank goodness for the heat as using a hair dryer would not be an option. I did not see a single hair salon , come to think of it,maybe they are hidden away down alleys or only in big hotels. It is likely that the ladies help each other at home with trims and colour further enhancing sisterhood and community spirit.
I know I'll never get to India so I am traveling there vicariously with you.
But, really,.... do they sell all of those bananas? The scent must have been overpowering lol
