While it's wonderful to sip from crystal every now and again, I am all for a local low key experience. This glass of mint tea set on the plainest laminate table was much needed, refreshing and wonderful. It was perfectly made with fresh mint, verveine and just a hint of sugar. The ordinary table didn't matter, the company and setting was all important and so very memorable . Same with the very simple 'dining' setting which in fact was beachside in Safi (home of pottery) in a cafe along the boardwalk. At the end of the day does it matter if we use mismatched crockery while enjoying fresh baked bread, locally grown olives and a Berber omelette. To me, it matters not one zot. I just see it as Morocco meets shabby chic !!!
