Closed doors hide secrets I think and doors half open often reveal a tiny bit of that secret. As I roamed the alleys of Essaouira earlier this year, I was immersed in colourful doors and their secrets . They often have wonderful, old tiled surrounds and vintage peeling paintwork, the multiple, weathered layers revealing their age. I saw snippets of little corridors leading into shops and riad. This beachy Mediterranean meets shabby chic look makes unbeatable sightseeing if you love architecture.
