Doors to Paradise

The octagonal Florence Baptistry has three sets of bronze doors. The east doors were  designed by Lorenzo Ghiberti in 1425 and called the Doors to Paradise by Michelangelo. I went to see them recently  They are massive  and bronze with relief sculpture, yet another masterpiece depicting scenes from the Old Testament. And they are not the originals but replicas !!
