If you take the road known as a Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura you will pass the very famous Kasbah Amridril with its many towers. It sits amid the Skoura Oasis and has been the back drop for many movies. Now it is partway restored . Vast and rambling, it dates back to the seventeenth century and is made from mud brick. Mud brick or adobe is made from a combination of sand, mud, water and straw and clearly is a very lasting construction technique. You can take the tour and or sleep the night here. Regarding the ladder photo, I think it would be pretty challenging racing up those rungs in a jellaba !!!
