Trdelnik - very typical Czech street food - a hot and flakey pastry cylinder - cooked before your eyes - then dusted with cinnamon and sugar or filled with Nutella or jam . Now you all know !
I also want you to know I have not eaten one on either of my visits to Prague because while I am a cake eater I am just not mad about pastry. Regardless, I have watched intently the cooking process. Dough is rolled into a long, thin snake and wrapped around a metal rotisserie rod. Cooking is done over hot coals or a hot element till golden brown. Then while warm the rolling in sugar and filling with jam happens. And then the eating !!
