No one really knows that Rabat is the capital city of Morocco, the administrative hub, full of people , cats and traffic. It is not on the tourist trail and the TV travel show do not come this way. I have visited this city a couple of times and am here for visa reasons. It is not wildly exciting, just a sprawl of housing on the outskirts and government buildings in the centre. Embassies and consulates lie in a lavish cluster with their flags flying above tropical gardens full of lilies, bougainvillaea and palms.
There is a modern tram service and some very contemporary buildings like the new biblioteque and art gallery. Plus it also has a beach with the Atlantic ocean lapping the not so golden sands. It may well have some other hidden charms that I will discover on my next visit here.
Another adorable Tabby!
