The Webster dictionary defines the word salon as an elegant living room or a hall for the exhibition of art. It is, as we know, a lovely French word and its first known use was 1699. This was also the year that a Moroccan Ambassdor visited Paris and just maybe he bought the word back to his homeland. To this day here, a lounge or living room {as Australians know it } is referred to as a salon. The charming Riad Emperizi Sahari has a gracious salon that epitomises the above definition, enhanced by fresh flowers and candles. Cool as a cucumber for the hot hot, summer but easily transformed into cosiness when the fire is lit and the french doors closed when the snow appears on the Atlas mountains .
It does look lovely, and cute photo with you in the mirror - beautiful mirror too!
