I have been semi adopted by a German family here in Marrakech. Three generations of them all shower me with warmth and kindness and German baking. Also, they certainly know how to do Christmas with their whole salon decorated plus a big tree taking centre stage. These traditional cookies take endless hours to make and are full of pure butter and almond meal.
At coffee the other morning a Stollen was served made from a recipe handed down through the generations. It is always a true delight to be with these new friends especially as I alwasy get to sample the culinary delights of their heritage. Marrakech is such a melting pot of cultures and I do love being part if it !!
Mmmmm, all the cookies look so yummy! So nice that this family has taken you under their wing :-)
