My dogs are both family members and best friends and it will certainly break my heart to say goodbye to them in 3 weeks time. So much of my day revolves around them and no one could ask for better companions. No matter if I am happy or sad they remain constantly by my side, wagging their tails and grinning their doggie grins. Lucy will turn 15 in 4 weeks and as to be expected, she is looking grizzled and more fragile by the week. Of course I must face facts that she may not be around when I return and this is pretty heart wrenching to deal with.
And it is a bad one and of course involves sugar !!
Frozen soft serve yogurt shops are springing up all over the place and I cannot keep out of them. Last night's indulgence consisted of two flavours - coconut and rose with lychee, sprinkled with lychee jelly cubes. I fear the term yogurt is a very loose title for such a confection.
My house looks like a tip and the dogs and I are semi camping. Boxes of household items are piling up in every room and most of the cupboards are empty bar vital domestic necessities. Not a pretty look !! Chaos in fact reigns especially after the break-in this week and the theft of so many of my personal belongings. I really do have to try and keep calm but my brain is often in overdrive as I try to sort out what to pack and what to store plus now I have to deal with police reports and the endless saga of insurance claims.
I left the house at 8.15 and on returning at 1.15 from work found the door open, broken glass everywhere on the porch and the house ransacked. I called 000 and waited for the police. Every electronic item has been taken and all the chargers, all my jewellery, my heart rate monitor, a new suitcase even a box of chocolates. They left a mess as you can imagine. The two guard dogs must have left their posts for the duration. So now comes the task of making the claims and dealing with the insurance company. To their credit, they sent a glazier immediately to replace the broken window in the door. No one was injured, the animals are unharmed and 'things' can be replaced. My friends and family rallied in the most amazing way to offer help and support and for this I am truly thankful, truly appreciative and my love for them knows no bounds.
Slowly and surely, I have been getting a travel company off the ground, offering bespoke tours to Morocco. The website is still a work in progress but there are three pages up for viewing if anyone has a moment and wants to take a look. Feedback is very welcome !! I would love for anyone who is thinking of travelling to Morocco to contact me as I have a wonderful guide and many wonderful tour options on offer to suit all budgets. Morocco is such an amazing country with both snow and desert and so many adventures to be had in between.
