Indian takeaway was on the menu last night !! I prefer to cook from scratch but takeaway food on occasion is certainly greatly enjoyed by this family. We try to adhere to the mantra of all things in moderation so do not do this too often, both for budgetry and dietary reasons. We have a plethora of Indian restaurants in our suburb, all with different specialities. I always order Momo, a Nepalese dish with meat or vegetarian dumplings swimming in a broth full of diced vegatables.
Also I am a total addict when it comes to warm, puffy Indian naan or roti or anything from the tandoori oven.
We always try to order something new each time and last night had some wonderful Onion Bhaji. Fine slivers of onion in an almost non existent light batter are deep fried very briefly. Those two words "deep fried" are not on my diet but I loved my little sample of this dish. I could not even try to re create this type of food and so greatly enjoy the foodie adventure that this sort of take away meal provides.
Mmmmm, I love Indian food! Although I think your Indian food in Australia is different than ours - I've never heard of those dumplings or onions. We do have naan though - YUM! And parathas - OMG, those are SO good! So bad for you, but so good! :-D

We have never, ever lived where we could get take-out.... Not even pizza delivered. I'm jealous - both of the food and the ability to get it....
