School days are supposedly the best days of your life and this certainly must ring true If you are a student at St. George's School in Newport, Rhode Island. I was lucky enough to see this magnificent boarding school and have a personalized tour. It sits upon 125 beach side acres with views to die for of the Atlantic.
The school opened in 1896 and the tower of the chapel can be seen rising above all other buildings along the Newport skyline. You maybe able to spot it dead centre but tiny in the below photo. It was glinting in the afternoon sun just like a jewel . The stained glass windows were also amazing to see.
I would loved to have attended a school that had a dragon as it's mascot, what fun. We had no mascot, only the Latin words "Utilis in Ministerium" emblazoned on various things around the place and to me there is no fun in anything Latin even now at my age. Here he is below dressed up for Christmas.
