We have just eaten the loveliest meal, sitting at a glamourously set table that would outdo Martha Stewart. Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday with a wonderful sentiment and I would love to see it imported to Australia. We have had oysters, cheese, French champagne, a golden turkey with all possible trimmings, pies, cupcakes and more and more and more. Luckily we did a 5km Turkey Trot very early this morning plus a very long dog walk in preparation for this amazing meal
This was a 16 lb turkey, stuffed to the max, beautifully cooked.
Brussels sprouts with pancetta were an accompaniment.
The right hand cheese is veined with truffles and incredible.
Although it was a long haul to get this far, for me it was worth every single second of flying time . Thanks guys for a momentous day. We will be returning home with the best memories. Happy Thanksgiving !!
