I don't quite know where to begin. My jelly legs and I are reclining, recovering from a day spent walking for nine hours on a solid sightseeing route march. I feel like I could sing that song"I've Been Everywhere, Man". I have traversed from East Village up to Central Park via Times Square, Union Square Xmas markets, the Flatiron building, the Rockefeller Plaza, NIketown, Tiffany's, 5th Avenue, Saphora, Gap, Anthropolgie, Grand Central Station plus a zillion other places. Also coming in at a zillion were the number of shopping bags collected filled with goodies from many of these places.
Here is the main shopper exhausted surrounded by purchases. New York really is a shoppers heaven.
Times Square was a mass of tourists and taxis with a not to be missed atmosphere.
We just poked our noses into Toys R Us to see the whopping Ferris wheel, dropped by the Hershey's store to inhale the chocolatey smell and wandered on to Central Park for a quick Irish coffee at the Boathouse,
It gets dark very quickly and the Christmas lights down 5th Avenue were amazing with every store front and window trying to outdo their neighbour. Total buildings are swathed in twinkles, quite unbelievable ,with power bills to match I am sure. What a day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
