Charity begins at home and as Ubud is my home this week I went to Barc as the plight of Bali's street dogs [or any dogs, for that matter] is very close to my heart. I was a bit worried about making a visit here but left feeling full of hope. The dogs they save and neuter and vaccinate are then up for adoption and the carers do a wonderful job and solely rely on donations. I met some cute doggies but also heard how some stringent rules have been put in place within the community about the treatment of animals. I have been to Bali now several times and on this trip I clearly noticed way less dogs on the street and more wearing collars . This is a marvellous charity to donate to and if you are in Bali, please visit and take a big bag of rice as Balinese dogs don't know what to do with the dry kibble that our dogs hoover up on a daily basis.
You know how I feel about dogs in need... thank you BARC for taking care of homeless dogs in Bali :-)
