Surely Not !!

Spotted today at the supemarket right out in front and centre !!!

I don't even know if the 12 days of Christmas are up yet but obviously the Easter countdown is on for one and all ! For those like me who seemingly must be out of the religious festival loop, the date of Easter Sunday this year is Sunday March 31st. For anyone really wanting to plan ahead in 2014 Easter Sunday is April 20th but author David Flynn has re jigged Isaac Newton's predictions and the end of the world may come in 2013. Maybe I had better get stuck into those buns now just in case !!

Those buns are going to be pretty stale by March 31st! Pretty soon the stores will be selling Hallowe'en candy in April ;-) Actually, I've seen Christmas stuff at Costco in July, so that wouldn't really surprise me!

Yesterday was the 12th day of Christmas meaning decorations should have come down but NO mention that it's time for Easter preparations to begin (although admittedly March 31st is a relatively early date for Easter)

Something I Didn't Know ! I knew I had a cherry tree and when I first moved in to this house 18 months ago, my gardener friend said it was very sick and to chop it down. Well, I didn't and it has stayed alive and it even had some half hearted blossom in spring....

A Spicy Discovery I had not heard of Sev till last weekend when I was reading a recipe magazine from the library. It is a product of India and can be plain or spicy. My sister got me a bag to try from an Indian supermarket and I am addicted. The spicy one...
