I eat carbs and I do not adhere to any rulings of when and where to eat them. Most of my standby recipes are based around carbs as are most of my favourite comfort foods. Sad but true ! Rice pudding and cheesy potato casserole are certainly on my list of reliable recipes that family members will eat quite happily and often. This week I made both and tweaked both ! My traditional rice pudding had colour and texture added with organic blackcurrant jam swirled through it and the stand by savoury potato dish had green and red pepper strips plus chili marinated fetta as delicious additions. To me the bland carbohydrate is just like a beige linen suit, just crying out for coloured accessories !! The fashion police may well disagree !!
