Oh dear, is there such a thing ?? I suppose really no is the answer but fruit and oats as ingredients are perhaps a better option than loads of couverture chocolate. We do eat a fair few baked goods in this household so to keep guilt at bay I choose to make cakes, muffins and loaves with grains and fresh fruit. Over the last week I have made an Overnight Apple Coffee Cake and a Steamed Prune and Raisin Pudding, both greatly enjoyed in moderation and full of those "healthier" ingredients. Not a choc chip in sight !!
Luckily, there are lots of ways to make baked goods healthier & still tasty :-) I have a recipe for a great chocolate cake make with pureed sauerkraut, and my friend Lisa has a banana bread recipe where she's replaced the white flour with whole wheat and the oil with applesauce. She does put choco chips in it, though :-)
