At long last I have taken possession of my two new colourbond raised vegetable garden containers. Sadly they are not the sort of thing you can take with you when you move. There was a bit of a delay in the delivery of these new ones and I was starting to panic as I badly wanted to get the tomatoes in before the onset of summer heat. The worst bit of this project is they have to be filled with soil, a bit of a backbreaking job. I chose a 5 blend soil - sound like coffee beans, I know - but this is a soil/compost/manure concoction recommended for vegie gardens. Tromping round in this mix is not great and it's the perfect situation to drag out the gum boots. I needed 1.5 cubic meters to fill my containers but they won't sell halves so I ended up with 2 and was offering the leftovers to passersby !!
I stopped seeing your posts on FB ... doing some catching up!!! I wonder if I can find these containers her, magic idea!
