Late last week a friend purchased on my behalf an enormous tray of strawberries - at least 10 punnets, if not more - for $10.00. Then this wonderful friend stood and hulled the lot !! So since then we have had strawberries for nearly 3 meals a day - by themselves fresh, cooked, with cereal, in a crumble, in a cake, with yoghurt - I have lost count of the ways we have enjoyed them. Plus a large amount are in the freezer to cheer us up in winter.
Is the yellow thing in the first picture yoghurt?

I LOVE fresh strawberries! The ones in the stores over the winter just aren't the same as the fresh-from-the-garden berries that we have here in late June/early July. Too bad the season only lasts a few weeks...
Enjoy your beautiful berries!

How lovely. What a good friend.
I can't wait for locally grown strawberries to appear here
