This cooked all day yesterday in the slow cooker and was just wonderful. I started it early not even thawing the chicken fillets. The tomatoes, peppers and herbs were from the garden, the chicken from Steggles and the big red onion from the market. All went into the pot for the day . Historically coriander does not go into cacciatore but I put it on and in everything. Also black olives are meant to make an appearance in this recipe but they seemed to be overlooked by the cook and are still in the fridge. We had it with curly wholemeal noodles. Luckily it made a lot.
