I heard on the radio this morning that we have just had the wettest summer on record . What's more, loads more is forecast for the weekend especially tomorrow morning. Records regarding weather patterns have been kept since around 1910. Mostly I have experienced an awful lot of very, very, dry, dry summers in my lifetime. I haven't minded all this rain because, now being such a keen vegetable grower, it has saved me an awful lot of watering which, although is a necessity, is one of my least favourite pastimes. If I had my choice though, I would ask Mother Nature for rain just at nighttime. I know this sounds fussy but I do like to get the dog walking done and the laundry dry. And then every night I could have the luxury of hearing the rain on the roof when I am tucked up cosily in my bed.
