I have been home for about 30 odd hours. I spent NYE on the plane, a new airbus, in premium economy, asleep. The trip home was comfortable and seamless - most unusual for airline travel just currently. I don't know if I am coming or going and although last night was exhausted I had difficulties falling asleep and then staying asleep. Jetlag is the down side of overseas travel and I have the slowest bodyclock ever when it comes to these adjustments. It will take about 3 weeks, going on my past experieneces post travel. BTW, I do wish one and all a marvellous 2011 full of good health and good luck. Today I did a little gardening and picked my first leek. It was quite an exciting moment and I look forard to harvesting more of them in the weeks to come. I also baked a banana apricot cake as I returned to find some very black bananas in my fruit bowl. It is an extremely low fat cake . Low fat is to be January's theme so I have started out like I mean to continue !!
That banana cake looks tasty.. unfortunately I am allergic to bananas! :(
I hope you had a happy and fun New Year.

I'm impressed you're baking when you're only just back home.
I enjoyed your posts from abroad.
Happy New Year

Great to see you made it home safe :-) We spent New Year's Eve on a plane too. Well, NYE day - we arrived back in Ottawa just before 5:00PM. And no way could I stay up till midnight!
I'm having the same problem staying asleep. I took a jet lag pill last night right before bed, which seemed to help - although I still woke up too early.
I have to catch up on your London adventures now.
Did the package I sent arrive while you were away?
Happy 2011!

Welcome home Kate!
Jet lag is such a bugger and always worse coming home, than going away - or so I find.
Thanks for sharing your trip and happy new year!
