I adore tomatoes. My family have seen me eat meal after meal just of diced fresh tomatoes with a little parmesan and black pepper on them. I love the smell and grow them each year. A warm sunripened tomato picked and then put straight into a salad is one of my great culinary loves. Roma tomatoes are such a gorgeous shape and when I can find the mini version I am always overjoyed. These ones went into a vegetarian pasta meal made totally on the hop along with black olives, rocket and cheese.
I would love to grow vegetables and fruits! Oh, and that pasta looks so tasty!

I hate summer - I just can't bear the hot weather, but I anticipate it eagerly every year because I just love fresh, home-grown tomatoes!!
The best lunch on earth - fresh home-grown tomatoes chopped and piled onto a slice of toasted, crunchy bread with plenty of pepper and torn basil and drizzled all over with extra virgin olive oil!
Bliss.
