Spinach [ and nearly snail ] Pesto

I picked an enormous amount of young spinach from the garden and some parsley too for a recipe for Spinach Pesto.{It is a fabulous recipe using walnuts in lieu of pine nuts.} I washed the greens carefully in a colander then transferred it bit by bit into the food processor. As I was doing this I came across a baby snail !!! I thought I had washed it all with great care. Obviously not !! I came so close to adding an escargot to that pesto !! The thought gives me the heebie geebies, really !
