The Winter of Our Discontent - or at least mine anyway !!

Here is the blogger rugged up to the nines after dog walking. I am so not a winter person. I like to be outdoors a great deal and love to have all my doors and windows open, thus I am at odds with the elements for quite a few months of the year. I have never skied nor really wanted to holiday in the snow, give me beaches and warmth over glacial conditions any time. Yes I like the comfort food that winter inspires but I can eat that happily all year round, rain, hail or shine. And yes, I love to fill a hot water bottle and lie snuggly in bed listening to the rain but I love more  the balmy summer evenings when the sun doesn't set till 9pm and you can sip a gin and tonic at dusk on the deck and the clothes dry on the line in an hour scented with fresh air. For me, it's great to know we have had the shortest day and longest night for 2010, roll on summertime.
