I have been gardening !! I have pulled out all the old tomato plants and zucchini vines and dug organic matter into the soil on the advice of the man at the nursery who thought I was completely nuts asking him such basic questions. I purchased little seedlings that will bear vegies - I live in hope here - in the winter months. Now I have bok choy, cauliflower and broccoli growing and some more basil and my favourite coriander. A lovely friend gave me some lemon grass to plant so that is now also in but it will be total trial and error seeing if it comes to fruition. My green peppers are still doing brilliantly and to my surprise they have provided a non stop supply with still more and more growing currently. Maybe I'll need Peter Piper to come over and pick !
thanks, expert !!!!!!

I bought these tubs, Kerry to keep the vegies safe from the dogs and it had been a great success . The tubs are 3 meters long and 1 meter wide and are bottomless, just a shell, so you place them where you wish then fill the with soil. They are made from colourbond roofing like a corrugated iron and come in a big range of colours and are very light to carry. Mine are light grey and are in full sun and have been wonderful. I located the item via ebay but then contacted the maker direct and he came and dropped them off. It has been a fabulous investment. Kate

You should watch the weather and prepare to protect them overnight if any frost is forecast - says the gardening expert!

I like the way your vegetable beds are arranged. Are the surrounds flexible plastic?
