This loaf was a yummy success. Oats, diced apple and a diced peach peach folded through a cinnamony batter - what's not to love here !! Great to put in school lunches too, which is one of my endless quests. That is the quest of finding wholesome goodies to fill hungry school tummies. My pet hate is finding an uneaten school lunch return like a boomerang at the end of the day !!
It looks divine - pity my lot are very suspicious of anything with fruit in it. I have to be very crafty indeed!

The sinfulness lies in the butter - real proper moo cow butter !!

But it's such a drag providing enough food to last from 8.30 till 6pm on rehearsal days etc and now even Saturday needs a lunch !!

My remaining school-lunch-eater does not like fruit loaf! But lately I've been sending a couple of mini-cucumbers (sold boxed as "qukes") every day. He also likes the new little Goulburn Valley containers of Pear with Pomegranate & Blueberry juice (does not like any other flavour) - previously both my boys have resisted anything needing a spoon! Thank goodness for the healthy home-made hot main dishes so cheap at FHS - they even have their own tomatoes from the school kitchen garden!
