Last night I did a spin class at the gym. For those of you who do not know - it involves a stationary bike with a knob to increase or decrease resistance. It also involves a lot of sweating and challenging, hard work. I generally try to do one or two of these classes per week if I can summon the motivation. The instructor and the music can make or break a class.The music is what gets me through and if I have to listen to heavy metal or techno rap or any type of dirge then I am a lost cause and my mind drifts off and I start mentally cooking dinner and writing shopping lists and future blogs. My calorie burning drops right off as I clock watch and my legs barely turn. There is one instructor who often takes the seat out of the bike so you cannot sit down for the whole class. I have done it once and am not keen to repeat that hellish hour in a hurry. Didn't Cher say "Fitness, if only it came in a bottle, everyone would have a great body". I'm with her !!
Bring on the bottle so I can stay in bed this morning !!!!
