I have just coined this idea of snippeting as that is what I intend to do. As I am home now I cannot blog from the actual places I have just been but I still have lots of snipppets to share accompanied by photos so here goes with snippet no 1.
A snippet from Russia
We could see this enormous blue dome from our hotel and it did not seem to be on the immediate tourist trail so we set out one early evening to locate it. This first picture gives an idea of both its size and also the width of the road. It is the Trinity Cathedral and the domes are a beautiful blue, embossed with gold stars. It was built between 1828 and 1825. Currently it is mid restoration and fenced off.
See how it dwarfs the bus !! It has 24 Corinthian columns and it has about 10, if not more, cannons running along the front of it.
