Biography

Two years ago I bought an old brick 40's house that had been tenanted and was currently empty and pretty run down. My 2 girls were horrified as suddenly there was no aircon, no swimming pool, no central heating, no Foxtel, no pretty garden, no remote control garage. What they got which as not greatly appealing to them was a mother with a vision but on a strict budget. So this blog is about what I have achieved and the things I love about my house and my lifestyle. Yes, I do vintage and shabby chic but mostly I love quirky and what I call "classy and recycled" or the Ebay look. I cook and grow vegies and find living on a budget a challenge to embrace. And embrace it I have over the last couple of years as I have turned a sad empty house into a warm and loving nest.

Interests

my dogs, my children, my vegie garden, my sister and her boys, my hopefully ongoing fitness, recipezaar, my ebay business, my renovations - all in equal order !!
